Getting Acquainted With Your Natural Hair

When I decided to go natural I was so fed up and aggravated with the amount of damage I did to my hair. I had no choice, but to cut it and start fresh. I will say I didn't think that it was going to be such a learning experience. I was not used to dealing with my natural hair and decided it was time to be reintroduced.

I had to figure out my hair type, my hair porosity, what my hair likes, and what it doesn't like. Needless to say I had to really learn and get to know my hair because it has been forever since I had to maintain it naturally. Educating myself on my own hair and not going by what they say on the internet about what is good for my hair is what is helping me on this hair care journey. It is trial and error. Take the time to learn what will work for your hair.
